Christiano Sosa

Executive Director

Prior to joining The Arc of Colorado, Mr. Sosa was the Director of Capacity Building & Philanthropic Partnerships at The Denver Foundation, a position he has held for ten years. Prior to that, he was Executive Director at the Northern Colorado AIDS Project in Ft. Collins where he engaged extensively in public policy advocacy for men, women, and children living with HIV. Since 1996, he has steadily ascended to numerous leadership positions at the local and national level.

Christiano is a Colorado Trust Fellow and former Commissioner for the Denver Office of Strategic Partnerships. He has taught courses in "Wealth and Philanthropy" and "Resource Development" in the Masters of Nonprofit Management Program at Regis University.

Christiano is the co-founder of the Colorado HIV/AIDS Community Partnership that led to the merger of four of the five largest AIDS Projects in the state. He currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for Mi Casa Resource Center, advancing the economic success of Latino families in Denver.

Heidi Haines

Director of Advocacy

Heidi Haines has been with The Arc of Colorado since 2012. Heidi works as the Director of Advocacy and also serves as an advisor to the People First chapter in Denver as well as to SABE, the National self advocacy organization for people with developmental disabilities. Heidi also served as a technology navigation fellow for The Arc of The United States in 2015 and 2016. Heidi has long demonstrated a passion for disability rights, an understanding of the critical issues and the desire to collaborate with a wide range of advocacy and community groups in the state of Colorado and nationwide. In 2013 Heidi was admitted membership to The National Conference of Executives of The Arc (NCE).

Abigail Negley

Administrative Assistant

Abigail Negley is our newest staff member. She is the Administrative Assistant for the Arc of Colorado. She has been volunteering with the Arc for the past seven years and has developed a passion for helping those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and their families. She is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at the University of Denver and hopes to become a Civil Rights Attorney, representing the interests of myriad marginalized communities.
